This is the 3-cell 11.1V 2200mAh 3S1P LiPo Battery with Voltage Port by Apogee. These batteries must be charged ONLY with a charger designed to charge Lithium Polymer batteries which can apply the "Constant Current/Constant Voltage" (CC/CV) charge technique. FEATURES: New voltage port connector allows checking of each cell with LiPo battery balancers Polycarbonate pack protection Fits the following 1/18 scale vehicles; Associated RC18 Series (upper tray modification required) X-Ray M18 and M18T Trinity Itsy Bitsy Spyder May fit other vehicles-check battery compartment dimensions Next generation replacement for NiCd, NiMH, and Lithium Ion cells Unique power technology offers high energy density, low weight, long life, safe operation, and environmentally friendly chemistry INCLUDES: One 3-cell 11.1V 2200mAh 3S1P LiPo Pack with Voltage Port by Apogee Connector not included REQUIRES: Charger such as the Great Planes Triton (GPMM3150), Hobbico's Accu Cycle Elite (HCAP0280) and Quick Field Charger MkII (HCAP0290) or Great Planes PolyCharge Lithium Polymer DC charger (GPMM3010) IMPORTANT: Pack is charged through the main leads. The voltage port is for cell monitoring NOT charging Pin #1 (Red wire) on the voltage port connector is for cell 1, pin 2 (Black wire) is for cell 2 and pin 3 (Black wire) is for cell 3 To check voltage use the following diagram, Cell 1: pins 1 (+) and 2 (-) Cell 2: pins 2 (+) and 3 (-) Cell 3: pins 3 (+) and 4 (-) SPECS: Length: 4.08" (100mm) Width: 1.43" (35mm) Thickness: 1.06" (26mm) Weight: 6.93oz (194g) Wire Leads: 14 gauge silicon Charge Rate: Charge as 3-cell at 2.2A or less Minimum Discharge Voltage: 9.0V Maximum Continuous Discharge Amperage: 44A (20C) Maximum Operating Temperature: 140°F (60°C) Maximum Charge Amperage: 1.2A (1C) Maximum Charge Voltage: 12.6V pack COMMENTS: NEVER charge Lithium Polymer batteries with a charger designed for NiCd, NiMH, or any other type of battery chemistry. Use ONLY the chargers listed under REQUIRES or equivalent substitutes. Do not allow LiPo cells to overheat at any time. Cells which reach greater than 140° Fahrenheit (60C) will usually become damaged and could catch fire. Do not charge or discharge LiPo cells on or near combustible materials including paper, plastic, carpets, vinyl, leather, wood, inside an R/C model or full size automobile. Do not expose LiPo cells to water or moisture at any time. Do not store batteries near an open flame or heater. Do not assemble LiPo cells or pre-assembled packs together with other LiPo cells or packs. Do not leave a LiPo battery unattended during charging or discharging Always store LiPo batteries in a secure location away from children Always remove a LiPo battery if model is involved in any kind of crash. Carefully inspect the battery and connectors for even the smallest damage. CAUTION: cells may be hot! Do not allow the electrolyte to get into eyes or on skin. Wash affected areas immediately if they come into contact with electrolyte. jxs 5/17/06 ir/jxs updt jxs 7/23/07 |
